Printing with Purpose: Hip Hues at Power of the Purse

When an event is rooted in purpose, community, and creativity—you know our Hip Hues team wants to be there. We were thrilled to be part of Power of the Purse, hosted by The Women’s Fund of The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee at the always-inspiring OZ Arts Nashville.

This annual event brings together dynamic women (and allies!) who are committed to making real, lasting change for women and girls across our community. And we were proud to be on site as a partial sponsor and creative partner, bringing our live screen printing activation to life.

A Creative Celebration of Impact

At Hip Hues, we believe in the power of people creating something with their own hands—it’s memorable, meaningful, and fun. For Power of the Purse, we set up a fully interactive screen printing station where guests got to design and print their own custom bandanas in a rainbow of vibrant colors. The energy was electric, the creativity was flowing, and the final results? Chef’s kiss. Every bandana was one-of-a-kind—just like the incredible women who made them.

Why This Event Mattered to Us

We’re not just in the business of swag—we’re in the business of storytelling, experience, and purpose-driven creativity. And this night was all of that and more.

Hip Hues is proudly women-owned, and our team knows firsthand how important it is to uplift women at every stage—in business, in community leadership, and in the arts. Supporting events like Power of the Purse is more than a good fit for us—it’s part of our mission.

We loved seeing guests step up to the press, try something new, and walk away with not just a printed bandana, but the pride of creating something themselves. It's a perfect metaphor, really: when women are given the tools and space, they create magic.
